Marta Perrone is an author, educator and lecturer who has touched thousands of lives helping women recognize that by gaining skills they can increase their self awareness and income and improve their futures and those of their families. Born in Madrid, Spain, Marta came to the United States at an early age and eventually moved to Los Angeles with her family. She attended public schools in the San Fernando Valley and West Los Angeles and then UCLA where she majored in Spanish and Linguistics.
The issues she faced when her first child was born were those of any other parent, and she quickly recognized the value of a trusted childcare and household assistance. Realizing that the search for qualified personnel was challenging, Marta established Domestic Connections Agency in 1989 and over these many years has trained and placed thousands of women with families throughout Southern California.
She also wanted to educate clients in the mechanics of hiring household employees and in developing the proper procedures for maintaining their domestic help. Out of that need came her first published book in 2006, "Help! How to Find Hire Train & Maintain Household Help!", that won the Mom’s Choice Award.
With the success of her first book, Marta crafted "The Professional Housekeeper" in 2009 as a guide intended to create standards of service within the housekeeping profession. The publication was made available in both English and Spanish. She then turned it into a language a learing tool for Hispanic workers enabling them to learn English for the domestic profession through an audiovisual DVD/CD set called “El Ama de Casa Bilingüe.
On line, she has several other courses on housekeeping from Basic to Executive Housekeeping. For those nannies who want the basics so they can keep up with light duties as it relates to the children, the Basic Housekeeping Course is most helpful. Her Household Management Course is great for Executive Housekeepers, Nannies and Family Assistants who want to advance their role in private service by learning all aspects of household management. In 2010, Marta developed proprietary software to better serve her A list celebrity and high net worth clients by categorizing their needs based on individual levels of service creating household maintenance and management manuals for their estates.
Combining her knowledge of client expectations with her communication skills, Marta currently
focuses on creating these virtual manuals and training the staff to successfully meet the client’s service vision
for a seamless operation.
