My Story

When I needed help to care for my first child, I
started the process just like any other new parent. I
did not feel that I could trust anyone and did not
know where and how to begin this process. Then there
was the fear of ultimately leaving my child with this
person and going off miles away to work.

After a great deal of trial and error, I ultimately
found a wonderful nanny to help me and elected to
change careers. Realizing that there was a desperate
need for good companies who could help other parents
like me find the right assistance for their children,
I decided to work from home and learn everything about
the proper way to hire domestic help. I put my
knowledge to work and began my own company. Domestic
Connections Agency has been a full service agency for
18 years.

Our domestic agency is located in Encino, California.

I was born in Madrid, Spain and came to United States
as an immigrant at age five. We first landed in New
York, but most of my life has been spent in Los
Angeles. I attended UCLA majoring in Spanish and
Linguistics and hoped someday of utilizing my language
skills in some way. My dream came true in that the
majority of the personnel in the Los Angeles Area who
work in the capacity of childcare are Hispanic. As the
years progressed so did my expertise.

Several years ago, I started writing a book to help
domestic employers follow proper procedures for hiring
and maintaining their household help. In 2006 "Help!
How To Find Hire Train and Maintain Your Household
Help" was published. Currently, I give workshops at
educational centers for parents to train others on How
to Hire a Nanny and other related subjects.

National and regional television and radio talk shows
have invited me as an expert commentator to discuss
the various issues that currently affect domestic
personnel. A second book has just been completed and
will soon be on the market to train those individuals
who are interested in working in this field to perfect
their skills and become professional domestics.
